Welcome Back!

Welcome to Castleberry Elementary!

It is great to see familiar faces and new ones too. 

I have a few questions to kick off our school year:

1. What are your three favorite moments from summer vacation?

2. If you could have one more day of summer, how would you spend it?

3. What excites you the most about this school year?


I'll answer first:

1. My three favorite moments are going to Europe with my husband, going to the beach with my family, and sewing my first quilt! Check out my pictures. 

2. If I could have one more day of summer, I would sleep in and then go swimming. 

3. I am most excited about ALL of the projects we are going to do in art class this year!  We are also going to be getting some new technology to use... stay tuned!

In preparation of another amazing year, I attended a summer institute for teachers at The Kimbell Art Museum right here in Fort Worth, TX!
Currently on display at the Kimbell is Botticelli to Braque: Masterpieces from the National Gallery of Scotland.
This exhibition is STUNNING!

I encourage everyone to go and explore the portraits and landscapes that fill the walls and, as always, the Kimbell's permanent collection is free and always inspirational.
